What Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and display name, provided by Google or Apple when you sign in through our authentication provider Clerk. We never see your password — sign-in happens entirely through Google/Apple.
• Subscription data: Name, amount, interval, category, and optional notes for the subscriptions you enter yourself in the app.
• Crash and error data: If the app crashes or throws an error, we send technical diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack trace) to Sentry so we can fix the issue.
• Local notifications: Cancellation reminders are scheduled entirely on your device — no data leaves your device for this.

Purpose of Processing

We process this data solely to provide RenewGuard: sign-in, syncing your subscriptions across your devices, dashboard calculations, and bug fixing. No advertising, no third-party tracking, no selling of your data.

Legal Basis

Processing is carried out for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or based on our legitimate interest in a functioning, error-free app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Processors / Third Parties

• Clerk (authentication) — processes email and OAuth profile data.
• Neon (database hosting, EU region) — stores your subscription and account data.
• Sentry (error tracking) — processes technical crash data.

Data Retention

Your data remains stored for as long as your account exists. You can permanently and irrevocably delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account — this also deletes all subscription data from our database.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, and object to the processing of your data (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact us at coreelements.ce@gmail.com or use the delete function directly in the app.
